More than a hundred people rescued from the snow after being trapped in their vehicles are locked in a hotel in Boadilla where there is hardly any food and the heating works at times.

Among them are a mother and a baby of several months.

Among the nearly 115 people there are several drivers from the San Juan Abad bus company, from Boadilla, who were working until yesterday afternoon, and drivers of private vehicles who had to be rescued.

The buses have been stranded on the road waiting for better weather conditions and can be returned to the garages.

The hotel was not prepared to accommodate so many people, it only serves breakfast and food was already running low at breakfast today.

"The girl at the reception told us that there are only frozen croissants left and she is saving them for the night," explains

, one of the trapped passengers.

The hotel food machine is short of supplies.

Nor have they received information on whether the UME or the Boadilla City Council is going to bring them food, although there are police officers and an excavator in the vicinity of the hotel trying to break through the snow.

The passengers who arrived last night have been accommodated in the hotel rooms, which is completely full, although some have not been able to be located in them and are using the reception sofa to sleep.

Neither the hotel staff, who are also sleeping on the premises, nor the rescued people know when they will come to rescue them.

"Nobody has told us anything," explains Jara.
