Oberhof (dpa) - Tiril Eckhoff also won the second individual race at the Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof.

The Norwegian won the pursuit one day after her sprint success.

The 30-year-old relegated her teammate Marte Olsbu Röiseland (0 errors / + 0.5 seconds) and the Austrian Lisa Theresa Hauser (1 / + 43 seconds) to the places over the ten kilometers after two mistakes.

For the German women, the start of the new year was completely unsuccessful.

After the disappointing sprint result, things didn't go much better in the chase race: the best was the sprint 14.

Franziska Preuß (26), who finished 18th after four penalties.

Denise Herrmann suffered another severe setback.

Before the start of the season, the 32-year-old had formulated ambitions for the yellow jersey, but this winter is following her demands.

After seven penalty loops, she was only 32nd. Herrmann has not yet finished a season race without errors.

Vanessa Hinz (28/1 fault) was 21st, Janina Hettich (24/1) 28th and Anna Weidel (24/0) came in 36th.
