Dubai Health expands vaccination centers with the "Pfizer-Biontech" vaccine

Health centers witnessed a remarkable turnout by those targeted for vaccination.

The Dubai Health Authority added a seventh center to the chain of health centers that it allocated for vaccination with the "Pfizer - Biontech" vaccine, against the Corona virus, while the Executive Director of the Supportive Medical Services and Nursing Sector at the authority renewed the head of the steering committee for the vaccination of "Covid-19", Dr. Farida Al Khaja, Dubai Health affirmed that vaccination is free, and that it is available to everyone without obligation.

She explained that the last period witnessed a remarkable turnout by those targeted by vaccination at health centers, which called for adding the Al-Safa Health Center to the centers previously identified, namely: Zabeel Health Care Center, Al-Muzhar Health Care, Wad Al-Hammar Health Care, and Al-Barsha Health Care, to Beside Uptown Mirdif Medical Fitness Center and Hatta Hospital Center.

She stated that the vaccination plan developed by the authority has been formulated in a flexible manner, allowing the addition of other centers for the "Pfizer - Biontech" vaccine, to meet the growing requirements and the expected increased demand for vaccination, in the coming periods.

Al-Khaja said that vaccination is also carried out according to specific phases initiated by the authority with priority groups, which include: citizens and the elderly residing over 60 years, people with chronic diseases, people of determination, members of the first line of defense from all sides, and workers in vital professions that require direct confrontation with those dealing with clients. And then it will include those who wish from different segments of society according to the approved local and international protocols in force, and vaccination will be available to them in later periods within the priorities specified in the vaccination plan.
