China News Service, January 8, According to Kyodo News, the Japanese government has decided to extend the nationwide suspension of the “Go To Travel” travel support project.

The suspension measures were originally scheduled to last until January 11, but in conjunction with the re-issue of the emergency declaration, it will be extended to February 7.

There will be no discount for all booked trips, and free cancellation until January 17th.

Travel agencies and accommodation facilities whose orders are cancelled will compensate 35% of the travel expenses.

The targets of the emergency declaration are Tokyo and the three prefectures of Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa.

However, the number of people infected in other regions is also increasing, and programs to promote people exchanges will continue to be suspended nationwide.

The current travel order discounts from January 12 to 31 are invalid.
