On Friday, the Israeli army arrested the Palestinian Saeed Arma, in the center of the occupied West Bank, and the sheikh became famous in recent days for confronting the occupation forces with a sling.

And Anadolu Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that an Israeli military force raided Arma's house in the town of Deir Jarir in Ramallah governorate, and arrested him.

4 days ago, scenes of this citizen were spread on social media platforms and news pages, as he participated in the confrontations against the Israeli army in his village, "Deir Jarir."

Videos showed Hajj Saeed, nicknamed Abu Al-Abed, wearing a keffiyeh, headband, and traditional Palestinian garb, "kumbaz", using a slingshot to throw stones while confronting Israeli soldiers, along with dozens of young men in defense of their lands.

Last Friday, "Deir Jarir" witnessed confrontations with the Israeli army, after the people of the village, Sheba and Shabana, went out to protect their lands in the "Al-Shorfa" area, in which the occupation is planning to establish a settlement outpost.

Sheikh Arma told Al-Jazeera - after the video was circulated by means of communication - that the Palestinian people are resisting the occupation, with whatever capabilities they have, no matter how simple they seem to others, explaining that since the first intifada, they have participated in confronting the occupation forces.

Abu Al-Abed added that the people will continue to resist, asking the Arab countries to support the resistance and provide cover for the Palestinians to obtain their rights and liberate their land, instead of scrambling towards normalization with Tel Aviv.
