The record is updated to $ 41,763, with the valuation subsequently dropped to $ 40,931 (+ 3.37%).
Sunday 4 it had exceeded $ 34,500, after having almost quadrupled its value in 2020, thanks to the interest shown by large investors, the green light for its use by PayPal and limited availability.
On December 16 alone, the cryptocurrency exceeded $ 20,000 for the first time. On November 30, it reached $ 19,786, surpassing the previous record of $ 19,783 that had held out for nearly three years. Thanks to the latest records, the market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies exceeded $ 1 trillion for the first time yesterday, according to Coindesk data.
