Ours is the age of the mob and on Wednesday a mob stormed Capitol Hill.
This particular gang was encouraged by the president, the most powerful man in the world, who for weeks has lied to his supporters, insisting that the election was stolen.
"We're going to the capitol," he said in a 70-minute speech at a rally on Wednesday, to "try to give them the kind of pride and boldness they need to take back our country."
What followed was a scene out of a banana republic.
