the plenary session, which resumed at around 4 pm, the National Assembly proposed a bill on the punishment of serious disasters, etc., with the main idea that a worker in charge of management could be sentenced to one year or more in prison if a worker dies in an accident.

Along with this, the Child Abuse Prevention Act and related civil law amendments have also been raised on the agenda to prevent the so-called'Jung Ini case' in which a 16-month-old adopted child died due to abuse of adoptive parents.

Whether or not to pass the bill is decided after a while after a vote of the ruling and opposition lawmakers.

Earlier in the morning, at the plenary session of the National Assembly, members of the ruling and opposition parties asked an urgent question about the COVID-19 quarantine measures.

In the government, Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun, Minister of Health and Welfare Kwon Deok-cheol, and Deputy Minister-level Personnel, Chung Eun-kyung, were present.

Prime Minister Chung replied that the peak seems to have passed when asked if he believes that Corona 19 is on a decline.

[Sae-gyun Jeong/Prime Minister: I'm cautious, but at first I went through the peak.

If quarantine is thoroughly done in the future, then it can lead to a stabilization trend.]

Prime Minister Chung also raised his voice over the opposition's argument that the president was not apologizing for the controversial vaccine supply plan and was passing responsibility to practitioners.

[Sae-gyun Jeong/Prime Minister: What do you pass over?

It's not about the head of state.

No, you have to keep your dignity.]

Prime Minister Chung apologized that many confirmed cases came out from the government-managed facilities for the eastern detention center where the group infection occurred, and that he regretted the public.
