Erfurt (dpa / th) - A man was critically injured after a fire in Erfurt.
The fire broke out in the apartment on Thursday night for reasons that were initially unknown, the police said.
The 78-year-old man, who was cared for in the apartment with another woman, was in mortal danger and was flown to a special hospital in Halle (Saale).
The roommate was unharmed.
The fire was locally limited to the apartment, so the living facility did not have to be evacuated.
The cause of fire was unclear for the moment.
