The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, has begun implementing an expanded plan aimed at guiding school and university students and making them aware of the importance of changing the traditional view of jobs, and the trend towards the labor market in the private sector, by strengthening the role of professional counselors working in educational institutions, to carry out mentoring tasks Students on how to plan their career paths in the private sector, and the skills required in the labor market.

The plan aims to rehabilitate and guide 315 professional counselors distributed among educational institutions, between schools and universities, in partnership and coordination with the strategic partner, the Ministry of Education, to reach the largest segment of students in universities and in secondary education, to familiarize them with the importance of working in the private sector and to make them aware of the privileges of working in institutions and companies In implementation of the Emiratisation goals towards strengthening and empowering Emirati youth and students, and supporting them with the functional and professional expertise and specializations required in the labor market, in implementation of the UAE Vision 2021

According to the ministry, the plan includes the distribution of “instructional bags” containing a set of brochures and video clips to clarify the advantages of working in the private sector, how to prepare for the job interview, the advantages of field training, as well as the role of parents in the professional future of their children, as well as introducing field and summer training through the application Al-Smart "Guide Me", and other axes that would enable mentors to motivate students and encourage them to work in the private sector, and to plan their career and career paths, within the framework of the Ministry’s plan to direct national human resources towards the labor market in the private sector.

The package also includes packages of guidance workshops for targeted career counselors at various institutions in the country, who participated in interactive virtual workshops during which they were introduced to the government agenda related to stimulating work in the private sector, raising awareness about the advantages of working in this sector and future skills, in addition to introducing them to initiatives And the programs implemented by the Ministry to provide employment and training opportunities, as well as introducing mentoring programs and reviewing success stories in the private sector, in addition to introducing the benefits of working in the private sector, how to search for a job, principles and requirements for work, awareness of the role of parents in the career path of their children, as well as awareness Career mentors on the needs and requirements of the labor market.
