Zurow (dpa / mv) - A mobile home owner has robbed himself of his only sleeping possibility in a small town near Wismar.
As a police spokeswoman said on Wednesday, the vehicle caught fire on Tuesday evening while the 81-year-old man was lying on the bed and was completely destroyed.
The senior was slightly injured trying to put out the flames himself, but was able to save himself.
According to initial investigations, the fire on the oil heater in the self-converted motorhome should have broken out.
The owner had made repairs there a few days earlier.
The now homeless man initially stayed with neighbors in driving near Zurow.
