Seven goals, including three in four minutes, Golovin scorer after four months of absence: in a totally unbridled match, AS Monaco ended up largely gaining the upper hand (5-2) over Lorient residents quickly reduced to ten at the start of the second period.

This great success allows Monaco to remain placed (5th) in the race for European places.

For Lorient, penultimate, the difficult season continues ...

The Monegasques started the game very well and could have already led largely in the score in the quarter of an hour of play. After a free kick from Laurienté captured by Mannone (5th), the players of Kovac opened the scoring thanks to Disasi, who pushed into the net a ball badly negotiated by Nardi then Delaplace (1-0, 9th).

Geubbels then played a dangerous quick attack badly (12th) and Lorient's Morel almost scored against his side (14th), after a corner.

In difficulty on the Monegasque counters, the Bretons gradually emerged to take control of the game. Monconduit first sent a long shot repelled by Mannone (20th), then Moffi thought to open the scoring, but he was out- play of a few centimeters (21st).

It was only a postponement for the Nigerian striker, who managed to equalize by taking advantage of a poor discount from Fofana (1-1, 31st).

After pushing at the end of the first period to take the advantage, the Hakes started the second to 10 after the exclusion of Delaplace, guilty of having retained Gelson Martins, as the last defender (48th).

Outnumbered, Lorient resisted and even created an opportunity, but Laurienté's strike went over (56th).

- Golovin winning entry -

The match was then totally packed.

Coming into play for only 5 seconds, the returning Golovin, injured in the thigh since August, placed on his first ball, a wonderful inside of the foot in the small net of Nardi and allowed Monaco to take the lead (2-1, 64th).

But on a bad free kick returned by Mannone, Gravillon managed to equalize (2-2, 67th).

In the process, a header from Volland lobbed the Lorient goalkeeper (3-2, 68th) and put the ASM in front.

After offering good resistance, the Lorientans finally cracked and their beleaguered defense conceded a fourth goal by Diop (4-2, 78th) then a fifth by Maripan (5-2, 89th).
