Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Several hundred Corona opponents gathered on the Stuttgart market square on Wednesday evening and, according to the police, violated conditions.

A large number of people did not wear mouth and nose protection and did not keep the required distance, the police said in the evening.

Since, despite repeated requests, the conditions were still not being complied with, the city ordered the dissolution of the meeting, which a police spokesman said about 300 people attended.

The police asked the participants to leave the marketplace in accordance with the applicable Corona guidelines.

"The majority of the participants were very reluctant to comply with this request," it said.

Instead, they tried an elevator that had been banned in advance by the Congregation Authority.

Rescue workers prevented this, determined personal details and wrote administrative offense reports.
