Trump's call to protest

Capitol Police ordered Congressional staff to evacuate the Cannon building and others around the Capitol, shortly after a speech by Donald Trump ended.

The Republican billionaire then called on his supporters to protest against the certification by elected officials of Congress of the victory of his Democratic opponent, taking place at the same time in the precincts of the Capitol.

It couldn't end otherwise.

Trump supporters are trying to gain access to the Capitol which is in the process of certifying Biden's victory.

Sad day for American democracy.
