Hanover / Bremen (dpa / lni) - The weather in Lower Saxony and Bremen is cold and cloudy in the middle of the week.
Wednesday begins overcast and rainy, snow is still to be expected in the mountains, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced.
Even in the flat regions of Lower Saxony, light snowfall was to be expected on Wednesday during the day, but “it is likely to melt in large parts,” said a spokeswoman for the DWD.
The maximum values are on Wednesday at two degrees, in the Harz at minus one degree.
On Thursday night, the snowfall slowly subsided, it remained frosty with temperatures of minus one degree.
In the mountains, temperatures drop to minus four degrees.
On Tuesday, the emergency services on a road shortly before Wolfshagen (Goslar district) cleared some branches from the road that had broken off because of the heavy snow on the trees, the police said.
On Thursday it will remain covered in Lower Saxony and Bremen.
The DWD expects precipitation, which falls partly as rain, partly as snow.
The maximum values are between zero and four degrees.
At the North Sea it could be a bit windy.
