Erfurt (dpa / th) - Thuringia extends the lockdown to contain the corona pandemic until the end of January.
The red-red-green state government has already agreed on this.
Today's cabinet meeting will deal with the detailed regulations that will be included in the new Corona regulation.
The government members meet after the video conference between the Prime Ministers and Chancellor Angela Merkel on the further corona strategy.
Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) will probably comment on this around 5 p.m.
Thuringia currently has the highest infection values of all federal states after Saxony.
The cabinet meeting will, among other things, discuss who will be allowed to take their children to emergency care in daycare centers and schools in the next few weeks and whether the winter holidays will be brought forward from February to January.
The proposal by Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) to limit the range of movement of Thuringians to 15 kilometers around their place of residence is also to be advised.
Ramelow had advocated following the example of Saxony - even with stricter contact rules.
The opposition, but also members of the government such as Environment Minister Anja Siegesmund (Greens), spoke out against this.
