January 05, 2021 The Warsaw Medical University will be fined 250 thousand zlotys (equivalent to 55 thousand euros) for having vaccinated as a priority, without making them queue, personalities from the world of politics and entertainment.

The measure was announced by Health Minister Adam Niedzielski, who specified that the academic body has violated the National Immunization Program, making VIPs pass as doctors, who were given priority vaccination.

Among others, the vaccines were administered to MEP Leszek Miller and actress Krystyna Janda, the star of filmmaker Andrzej Wajda in The Man of Marble and The Man of Iron.

The two stated, to justify themselves, that they obtained excess doses of the vaccine, which risked deteriorating and becoming unusable.
