The private Saint-Stanislas college-high school, located in the Talensac district in Nantes, was evacuated around 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday due to the assault of a student inside the establishment.

A teenager claims to have been physically assaulted in the toilet by an individual with a partially concealed face, reports the national police.

The teenager was not injured and is said to have managed to escape.

He describes the suspect as an adult male in his forties, unarmed.

Asked by the management of Saint-Stanislas, the national police took the testimony seriously and decided to trigger the intrusion alert.

All the students were therefore gradually evacuated calmly in order to allow the classes to be searched.

A security perimeter has been established in the adjacent streets.

At 5:30 p.m., no suspicious individual had been spotted, police said.

The victim will be interviewed in order to clarify the facts.
