Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - According to Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (CDU), the decided restriction of freedom of movement for people in Corona hotspots will not be of great importance for Hesse.
The main thing is leisure behavior and day trips, Bouffier said on Tuesday.
The way to work cannot be forbidden to anyone.
At a switch on how to proceed in the corona pandemic, the federal and state governments agreed that people in regions with many new corona infections are only allowed to move freely within a radius of 15 kilometers from their place of residence without good reason.
The regulation is to apply in future from a seven-day incidence of over 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.
Bouffier said that, to his knowledge, there are currently only two counties in the country that currently have an incidence higher than 200.
As further examples of valid reasons that justify an exemption from the restriction, he cited visits to children who live more than 15 kilometers from the other parent.
Participation in church services and demonstrations is still possible.
"That will have a manageable effect for Hessen," said Bouffier.
