Approval of 1110 residential lands for eligible people in Sharjah

Yesterday, the Executive Council approved the first batch of those eligible for granting residential lands in the emirate for the current year, which amounted to 1110 lands, distributed over various cities and regions of the emirate.

The Council discussed, during its weekly meeting in the Ruler's Office, headed by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Council, and the presence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, a number of issues Important government, listed on the session’s agenda, related to developing the work system in local departments and institutions and achieving the emirate’s vision.

The Council congratulated His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the citizens and residents of the emirate, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Mahani field, which will be one of the pillars of energy and gas supply for the emirate.

The council reviewed the Department of Economic Development report on economic indicators at the Sharjah Foundation to Support Entrepreneurial Projects (Rowad), the mechanism that the Foundation follows, the activities that receive priority, and the services and facilities it provides to support the citizens of the state.

The report dealt with the Foundation’s efforts to support entrepreneurs and provide an appropriate environment that stimulates creativity and excellence. The number of projects supported by the Foundation reached 721, and 70 projects were funded at a value of 21 million and 281 thousand dirhams.

It also provided many training courses for the citizens of the country, and the number of its affiliates reached more than 5700 participants, in addition to providing advice and marketing advice to the affiliated members.

The report stated that the Foundation is keen to keep pace with the changes and challenges, and to lay the appropriate foundations for support and financing programs for the priority economic sectors and activities, by adopting the best quality and excellence methods to serve the owners of small and medium enterprises.

The council discussed the memorandum submitted by the Department of Municipalities Affairs, Agriculture and Livestock, on developing the urban appearance in various cities and regions of Sharjah, and related to abandoned and collapsing buildings.
