A dramatic accident at work occurred Monday afternoon in Plouaret near Lannion (Côtes-d'Armor), reports

While workers were working at a small pavilion demolition site, a three-meter-high concrete slab fell off before falling on them.

One of the workers, 54, was killed instantly.

According to

France Bleu Armorique

, it was his first day of work for the SDIGC company in charge of the work.

A second worker, aged 30, was slightly injured.

He was transported to Lannion hospital, as was the driver of the demolition machine, very shocked.

An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the accident.
