Wolfsburg (dpa / lni) - Who wouldn't be curious on a treasure hunt - or if they think they've discovered a drug stash?

This also applies to the police: In the Wolfsburg district of Vorsfelde, the alleged drug crime has turned out to be a treasure hunt for children.

On Saturday, a radio patrol was "on the trail of the crime" after a passer-by pointed out, the police said on Monday.

The passer-by had seen a stranger hiding a bag in a pile of leaves in a playground.

The officers actually found a bag with a large tin in between the bushes containing several balls the size of golf balls.

Directly above it: mouth and nose protection.

The police suspected a direct connection.

The thought occurred to the officers that it might be a drug stash.

They were just about to write down the description of the perpetrator when the alleged perpetrator appeared - and were very surprised that the treasure hunt planned for his children had triggered a police operation.

The man made it clear to the officers that there were no drugs in the bullets, but chocolate gold coins.

Amused, the officers spontaneously hid the gold treasure again - between other bushes.
