The scenario of victory in the first round for Faustin-Archange Touadéra is now confirmed.
The outgoing president was re-elected in front of Anicet-Georges Dologuélé.
The hundreds of supporters present in front of the headquarters of Faustin-Archange Touadéra listened to the announcement of the results broadcast live through large loudspeakers in tense silence.
At the announcement of his victory, they exulted and sang in a concert of horns, says our correspondent in Bangui,

Singers were present to prepare the atmosphere for several hours.
The campaign hymn "
Touadéra must stay
" was sung and large banners bearing the image of the president were displayed in front of the campaign headquarters.
The announcement of the results was scheduled for 4 p.m., but it finally took place later because, but the plenary of ANE commissioners responsible for validating the results had not yet met, explains our special correspondent in Bangui,
Florence. Morice
.
This delay was linked to the arrival at the very beginning of the afternoon of a last batch of results from Baoro about 30 km from Bouar, where the end of the vote had been very disturbed.
The elections were held in a context marked by insecurity in part of the country, following the birth of a new coalition of rebels before the poll.
