This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the Moscow Emergencies Ministry.
"There was a fire in personal belongings and furniture in the kitchen, in the corridor and on the balcony of one of the apartments on the ninth floor ... One victim was found in the burning apartment," the department noted.
It is specified that the rescuers have already managed to localize the fire and evacuate nine people from the building.
Earlier in Moscow, a fire broke out in an apartment of a residential multi-storey building, two people died.
