China News Service, January 4-According to AFP citing Iranian media reports, the Revolutionary Guards in Iran seized a South Korean flag oil tanker on January 4 in response to "environmental hazards."
The report quoted Iranian media as saying: "A South Korean ship was seized by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards navy in the waters of the Persian Gulf and transferred to an Iranian port." The report did not mention the name of the cruise ship.
The report added: “This tanker was flying the South Korean flag and was seized due to oil pollution and environmental hazards.”
