Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga announced the country has agreements with Pfizer / BioNTech for 120 million doses of the vaccine, with the British-Swedish pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca for another 120 million doses and with the American company Moderna for 50 million doses. "The government is preparing to begin vaccination, if possible, by the end of February while continuing to study the safety and efficacy [of vaccines]," Suga said at a news conference.
