On January 4, the 10th Chinese peacekeeping medical team to South Sudan was lifted from isolation and returned to camp.

Bethune International Peace Hospital held a welcoming ceremony for the heroes who had returned with honor.

This batch of peacekeeping medical teams was formed by Bethune International Peace Hospital in strict accordance with the allocation standards of the United Nations peacekeeping second-level hospitals, with a total of 63 members involved in orthopedics, emergency, infection, dentistry and other majors.

  During the peacekeeping period, this batch of peacekeeping medical teams received 2,271 patient-times, rescued 310 emergency patients, carried out 38 operations, and carried out 10 air medical evacuations for critically ill patients.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the officers and soldiers of the peacekeeping team took the initiative to treat 51 patients with fever. They were hailed as the “guardians of life and safety” by the UN Mission. 63 peacekeeping officers and soldiers were awarded the UN “Medal of Honor for Peace”.
