It is planned to equip specialized organizations with modern equipment, including mobile laboratories for express diagnostics and equipment for detecting pathogens in the environment.

In addition, it is planned to create a national catalog of biological agents and biotoxins, as well as a biomaterial bank, which will be used in the development and testing of new diagnostic and treatment tools.

“Implementation of the road map will strengthen the unified sanitary and epidemiological surveillance system.

This, in turn, will help protect citizens from epidemiological threats and minimize economic losses from the spread of infectious diseases, ”the government stressed.

New incidence data

Over the past day, 23 351 cases of coronavirus were detected in Russia (in the two days preceding this - 24 150 and 26 301).

Since the beginning of the epidemic, the diagnosis of COVID-19 in the country has been confirmed in 3,260,138 people.

For the entire time, 2,640,036 patients recovered, including 21,154 in the last day.

58 988 people died from complications caused by COVID-19 and related diseases.

The number of deaths per day increased by 482.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, over 91.8 million laboratory tests for coronavirus were carried out over the entire period, including 193 thousand in the last day.

More than 652 thousand people remain under medical supervision.

For the first time since the beginning of the epidemic in Russia, the largest number of new cases of COVID-19 was recorded outside of Moscow.

In the capital, the diagnosis was confirmed in 3591 people, and in St. Petersburg - in 3657. More than 400 new episodes were also detected in the Moscow region (1250) and the Nizhny Novgorod region (482).

Experts believe that statistical fluctuations in the detected cases of coronavirus in the Russian Federation are still possible, since most of the Russians do not have immunity to the disease.

This point of view was expressed by Alexander Gorelov, Deputy Director of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor.

“I think that the decrease in the incidence of coronavirus is now associated with the holidays, with the fact that people are being examined less.

Fluctuations in the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia are still possible.

We have not yet approached the cherished line, when most people have immunity, "RIA Novosti quotes him.
