Ludwigsburg (AP) - Basketball Bundesliga club MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg loses its leader Elias Harris.

The 36-time German national player uses the release clause in his contract and moves to Spain, as the runner-up announced on Sunday.

Which club the 31-year-old is switching to will only be announced in the next few days.

"Recently an offer came from Spain, which has always been a dream for me that I really wanted to realize with my family now," said the former NBA professional.

Harris is the second best thrower from Ludwigsburg with 15.6 points per game, having won ten of its eleven league games this season.

As a replacement, the club hired the 21-year-old American Austin Wiley from Auburn University.
