Potsdam (dpa / bb) - In Brandenburg, 333 new infections with the coronavirus were reported to the Ministry of Health on Sunday within one day.
After 573 confirmed cases on Saturday, the number of corona infections fell for the second day in a row.
However, the health authorities often delayed reporting of data for collection at the weekend.
A week ago there were 408 newly registered cases within 24 hours.
25 new deaths were added nationwide.
This increased the number of coronavirus-related deaths to 1,178. The number of those currently ill fell slightly by 47 to 15,014. 31,347 people are considered recovered - 355 more than a day earlier.
A total of 47,539 people in Brandenburg have been infected with the corona virus since March.
The southern district of Elbe-Elster still has the highest value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week with 480.2.
This is followed by the Spree-Neisse district (433.5) and the independent city of Cottbus with a value of 364.2.
Across the country, the value fell slightly to 222.9.
On Saturday it was 225.
