The Government Delegation against Gender Violence has confirmed that the murder on December 26 of a 66-year-old woman in Gáldar (Gran Canaria) is a new case of sexist violence.

the victim's partner has confessed the facts before the judge
.
In this sense, it was a friend of the woman who alerted on December 29 that he had not been able to contact her since the 26th, adding that her partner had confessed that he had killed her and that he planned to surrender to the authorities .
For this reason, the Civil Guard carried out a search in the area in which both resided and
found bone remains on a farm in the municipality
, which were transferred for forensic analysis.
The authorities were looking at the same time for the woman's partner, who
finally turned himself in on December 30
at the National Police Station in Arrecife (Lanzarote).
He then went to court, where he confessed the facts, for which the judicial authority decreed his entry into provisional prison for murder.
