The fees Sala municipality has so far charged for parking remarks were decided in 1999, the municipal council writes in its decision.
Now that they have examined what amounts twelve municipalities in the immediate area charge for incorrect parking, they choose to increase the fees in Sala, so that they will be on a par with other municipalities in the immediate area.
Until this time, incorrect parking fees in Sala have been at the same level as in Avesta, but after the increase, it will be just as expensive to incorrectly park in Sala as in Västerås.
The new fees will take effect on January 1, 2021.
