Mannheim (AP) - The Adler Mannheim remain undefeated after the third game in the German ice hockey league.

The Eagles prevailed 3-2 (2-2, 0-0, 0-0) in the penalty shoot-out in the top match in Group South against the previously undefeated EHC Red Bull Munich.

The hosts quickly took the lead through Nicolas Krämmer (9th) and Markus Eisenschmid (12th), but had to equalize in the first third with goals from Mark Voakes (17th) and Kalle Kossila (18th) within just 37 Take seconds.

The decisive goal in the penalty shootout was scored by Matthias Plachta.

There was an unusual interruption in the overtime: Because the stitches broke, a goal had to be replaced.

The new Adler defender Craig Schira (32) from Canada, who initially had to go into a five-day quarantine after arriving in Mannheim, was not yet there.
