London (AP) - The Welshman Gerwyn Price has reached the final at the Darts World Championship in London for the first time.

The former rugby professional defeated England's Stephen Bunting 6: 4 in the semi-finals and thus kept his chance to become number one in the world for the first time after the World Cup.

Price would have to win the final on Sunday evening (8.30 p.m. / Sport1 and DAZN), which he contests against the winner of the game Gary Anderson (Scotland) against Dave Chisnall (England).

The Welsh muscleman would then not only receive the 23 kilogram Sid Waddel Trophy, but also prize money of 500,000 pounds.

"The Bullet" Bunting had surprisingly made it to the semifinals and on the way had defeated ex-European champion James Wade among others.

Price had to master several critical situations in the tournament.

He won his second round match 3: 2 against compatriot Jamie Lewis, his third round match 4: 3 against Brendan Dolan and the quarterfinals 5: 4 against Daryl Gurney.

This time his victory in a high-class game was a little more confident.
