Cologne (dpa) - New year, old grief: 1. FC Köln did not win the first home game in 2021 and has now been waiting for a Bundesliga success in their own stadium for 13 games and almost a year.
Against fear opponents FC Augsburg, Cologne lost on Saturday in a very tough game of the 14th matchday with 0: 1 (0: 0).
Most recently, FC celebrated a home win in a 3-0 win over FC Schalke 04 on February 29, 2020 - at that time with 50,000 spectators.
After a decent final spurt in 2020, Cologne is still in 15th place with eleven points, which would be enough to save it at the end of the season.
At the end of the year, the Augsburgers, which were a little weak at the end of the year, are in the middle of the field with 19 points, and the European Cup ranks are much closer than the relegation zone.
Against their favorite opponent Cologne, the Swabians remained unbeaten for the twelfth time in a row.
