The North Korean Labor Newspaper released a handwritten New Year's card sent to the residents, skipping the New Year's address, which was an opportunity for the State Council Chairman Kim Jong-un to announce North Korea's position at home and abroad.
In his letter, Chairman Kim said, "I would like to refrain from congratulations to the whole people as we celebrate the New Year."
He said, “We will fight vigorously to advance a new era in which the ideals and aspirations of our people are in full bloom.” He expressed himself as “a loyalty to the great people”.
