Dubai ambulance dealt with 493 complaints on New Year's Eve

 A report by the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, issued this morning, showed that the organization received 493 reports and dealt with 542 patients within those reports, including injuries and illnesses during the hours of New Year's Eve during the time period from the second afternoon on December 31 until six in the morning of the first day of the new year


. The Executive Director of the Foundation, His Excellency Khalifa bin Dray, said that the reports varied between simple cases and medium cases, pointing out that the severe cases were few and were transferred to hospitals near the places of celebration, while other cases were treated at the reporting site.


Al-Dray stated that the number of severe cases reached 25 cases, less than 5% of the total cases, the number of medium cases is 114, and the number of simple cases is 321 cases, pointing out that the number of cases that resulted from accidents reached 35 cases, and the number of cases that were transferred to hospitals reached 138 cases and cases 219 cases were handled at the site.


These cases varied between general illnesses, dizziness, headaches, pain, nausea, and other injuries.


He explained that among the total number of reports, 68 were from Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, 132 were from Deira, 105 were from Bur Dubai, 92 were from Jebel Ali, and 12 were from the external areas, while the number of canceled cases reached 80 and 65 cases refused treatment.


He said that 122 ambulance points scattered throughout Dubai, its external roads and gathering sites, dealt with the reports. Also, 685 ambulance cadres, including doctors, emergency medicine technicians, and paramedics with a high degree of competence participated

Bin Dray indicated that in addition to the emergency points spread throughout Dubai, they worked The Corporation distributed 78 additional emergency points based on the geographical distribution of the events and activities associated with the celebrations, the places close to them and the vital areas. The paramedics' work varied between two pedestrians in the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa area, inside vehicles, or on bicycles and electric scooters.
