Regensburg (dpa / lby) - A raclette grill caused an apartment fire in Regensburg on New Year's Eve, and a woman was slightly injured.
There was damage of around 50,000 euros.
The device ignited late Thursday evening when the 33-year-old apartment owner wanted to refill alcohol, the police said.
Rescue workers extinguished the fire.
The 33-year-old had previously suffered smoke inhalation while trying to extinguish the flames and injured her leg slightly.
She was taken to a hospital.
In addition to the rescue service and the police, 40 firefighters were involved in the operation.
During the extinguishing work in the apartment, emergency services were called to another fire: Also in Regensburg, a box with pyrotechnics was set on fire and burned down on a street. The fire brigade quickly extinguished, it said.
