The investigator of the Beirut port bombing case submitted all investigation materials to the Lebanese Supreme Court

  According to local media reports, on December 31, 2020 local time, Sawan, Chief Investigator of the Beirut Port Bombing, submitted all current investigation materials to the Lebanese Supreme Court in response to the two former ministers’ request to the court to replace the chief investigator. Appeal.

The investigation of the case was suspended on the morning of the 30th local time until the court made a ruling.

  According to reports, on December 10, 2021, Sawan accused the caretaker government Prime Minister Diab, former Finance Minister Khalil, former Public Works Minister Zaitr and Yusuf of negligence causing the explosion.

Among them, Khalil and Zaitl accused Sawan of violating the Constitution and asked him to avoid investigation of the case.
