“I am pleased to announce that I have appointed Arieh Lightstone as the US Special Envoy for Economic Normalization,” US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is quoted as saying.
It is noted that Lightstone will represent American interests in the normalization of economic relations between Israel and the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, Kosovo and Morocco.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Israel's policy on the Palestinian issue unacceptable.
