  The number of newly diagnosed cases that day decreased by 83 compared with the previous day. This is the first time since December 28 that the number fell below 1,000 in four days. However, there are still clusters of infections in nursing facilities, detention centers and other high-risk facilities across South Korea. The number of newly confirmed cases in a single day may still rebound to more than 1,000.

On December 14, local time, in Seoul, South Korea, medical staff were testing a citizen for the new coronavirus.

  South Korean Prime Minister Ding Shijun said at the meeting of the Central Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters at the government office building in Seoul that South Korea and overseas pharmaceutical companies have signed contracts for the purchase of new crown vaccines, and it is expected that vaccination will be carried out from February 2021.

Korean domestic vaccines are also under development and are expected to come out by the end of 2021.
