31 December 2020 A new intense Atlantic disturbance will bring snowfall, locally also abundant, on the northern regions from this night and until the morning of 2 January.
In particular, snowfall is expected along the motorway sections managed by motorways for Italy in Liguria, Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia with the involvement of approximately 900 km of the network.
To cope with the meteorological situation, Autostrade per l'Italia has therefore activated the operational machinery as early as today, foreseeing the use of around 800 vehicles and 1200 resources in anti-snow operations.
Based on the forecast available now, the most intense rainfall is expected between the afternoon-evening of Friday 1 and the early part of the morning of Saturday 2. During these phases the arrangement is considered highly probable, in accordance with the current Plan Snow and in agreement with the Traffic Police, of temporary circulation bans for vehicles with a total mass exceeding 7.5 t along the sections managed by Autostrade per l'Italia.
