Judicial information was opened against former Malian Prime Minister Boubou Cissé and several other people by the Bamako prosecutor in the case of breach of state security.

Several figures in Malian society were arrested on December 21 on suspicion of a plot to foment a coup.

His name had been circulating from the start.

It appears today on the official statement of the public prosecutor of Bamako.

Former Prime Minister Boubou Cissé, in office during the coup d'état of August 18, is therefore part of the list of those charged with conspiracy against the government and criminal association.

Boubou Cissé, still untraceable according to the prosecutor, is not imprisoned this evening, unlike the other accused, the artist and radio columnist Mohamed Youssouf Bathily said Ras Bath, of Vital Robert Diop, general manager of the company PMU-Mali, Aguibou Macky Tall, president of Agefau, the management agency for the universal access fund, and Souleymane Kansaye ....

The prosecution accuses the accused of acts of sabotage

All these people had been arrested on December 21 together with the Secretary General of the Presidency, Sékou Touré.

But the latter's case will be handled by the Supreme Court because of his status as a magistrate and his rank as Minister, the statement said.

The prosecutor also affirms that all these personalities had contacts and suspicious movements inside the country.

The prosecution accuses the accused of acts of sabotage against certain initiatives of the transitional authorities, but without providing more information.
