He may well be his father, he does not necessarily have the same opinion.

Not in favor of Brexit, Stanley Johnson, the father of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, will file a file to obtain French citizenship, as he told RTL on Thursday.

If his son initiated the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union, whose agreement was reached last week, Stanley Johnson, writer and former MEP, would take steps to obtain French citizenship.

"I will always be European, that's for sure"

“It's not a question of

becoming

French.

If I understood correctly, I

am

French.

My mother was born in France, her mother was entirely French, and her grandfather too.

So for me it's all about reclaiming what I already have.

So I'm very happy, ”Stanley Johnson told RTL.

“I'll always be European, that's for sure.

You cannot say to the English: you are not European, ”he continued, adding:“ Having a link with the European Union is important.
