The Ministry of Health and Community Protection announced the conduct of 146,721 new examinations during the past 24 hours, in line with its plan to expand the scope of examinations in the country with the aim of early detection, counting cases infected with Coronavirus (Covid-19), and those who had contact with them, and isolating them.
And the intensification of investigation procedures contributed to the detection of 1,730 new cases of the virus.
This brings the total number of registered cases to 207,822 cases.
The ministry also announced the death of four people from the repercussions of infection with the virus.
This brings the number of deaths in the country to 669 cases.
The Ministry of Health expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased, and its wishes for a cure for the injured, calling upon the community members to adhere to social distancing, to ensure their safety.
It also announced the recovery of 1,435 new cases.
Thus, the total number of cures is 184,442 cases.
