The statistics were published on Wednesday in Ahrensburg (Schleswig-Holstein).

Bielefeld recorded the names of around 23 percent of all children born for its list.

In 2019, Emilia, Frieda / Frida and Mia were still at the top of the girls' names in MV, while Ben, Emil and Oskar were very popular with boys.

In addition, the name researcher noticed typical names that are mainly selected in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

These include Fiete, Friedrich, Fritz, Helena, Luna and Merle.
