Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Charles Michel, President of the European Council, signed on Wednesday, in front of European flags and all smiles, the post-Brexit trade agreement concluded with London, which will enter into force Thursday evening.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and her Council counterpart Charles Michel signed the post-Brexit trade agreement with London on Wednesday to frame the historic break, which is due to enter into force Thursday at 11 p.m.

In front of European flags, the two leaders, smiling, signed these texts in front of the cameras and the photographers.

The documents must then be transported by a Royal Air Force plane to London to be also initialed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
