The Brexit transition period established between the UK and the European Union ends today (31st) at 11pm local time.

From this point on, Britain will finally achieve'Brexit', which is completely separated from the European Union.

After joining the European Economic Community, which was the predecessor of the EU in 1973, the last 47 years of cohabitation continued to mark a period.

The UK decided to leave the EU through a Brexit referendum on June 23, 2016.

At that time, 72.2% of the 46.5 million voters participated in the referendum, with 17.4 million (51.9%) voting for'withdrawal from the EU' and 16.1 million (48.1%) voting for'remaining in the EU'.

As a result, in 2017, Article 50, which contains information on withdrawal from the Treaty of Lisbon, the constitution of the EU, was invoked.

The UK and the European Union launched Brexit on January 31st at 11pm and set a phone period until the end of the year.

The two sides have decided to maintain no tariffs and no quotas in commodity trade, but there will be confusion from the new year as there are customs clearance and quarantine procedures that have not existed before.

In addition, many service sectors are excluded or a separate agreement is required, so trial and error are expected for a certain period of time.

Brits traveling to member states of the European Union will not be able to get free medical services.
