Treuen / Zwickau (dpa / sn) - The police have warned that fraudsters in the Vogtland district could pretend to be a supposed corona vaccination team.
Everyone should be vigilant if strangers stand in front of the door without prior notice and pose as medical personnel, the Zwickau police said on Tuesday.
Under no circumstances should such people be allowed into the house.
The reason for the possible new scam was a case from Treuen in Vogtland.
A resident reported to the police on Monday evening and reported that two men in white jackets and with suitcases had rang his doorbell and pretended to vaccinate him against corona.
According to the notification, the man got rid of the suspected fraudsters and informed the officials.
In Germany, the vaccination against the coronavirus started just a few days ago. However, residents of nursing homes and medical staff will be vaccinated first. As soon as more vaccine is available, immunization of the population will be coordinated via so-called vaccination centers.
