The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai and the Huawei Group announced the launch of exclusive new digital Nol cards and the NolPay application for Huawei smart phone users, for the first time in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf states, as part of the authority’s plan to implement advanced technologies and creative methods in the transportation sector. The Executive Director of the Institutional Technical Support Services Sector at the authority, Muhammad Al-Mazrab, said that “the new NolPay application with Huawei wallet aims to enable users to quickly pay for public transportation tariffs and any facility that uses Nol cards through their Huawei smartphones, as the user can download The application is directly from the Huawei application platform, create his own Huawei ID using the wallet application, and start using this service immediately to top up his Nol digital cards, and pay on the go through his phone, ”explaining that the Huawei wallet supports payment technology by means of near-term communication. (NFC) for the (NolPay) application, which provides a smooth and secure payment experience for Huawei and the authority customers.
He added that "these innovative solutions are the first of their kind at the authority, and aim to provide more convenience for users of (Huawei) smartphones, by creating flexibility in purchasing tickets for its public transport, such as the Dubai Metro, water bus, tram, etc.", pointing to "The new application is consistent with our comprehensive strategy for digital transformation to adopt the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the transport sector in Dubai."
Huawei smartphone users in Dubai can use the first digital Nol card in the region by downloading the NolPay application available in the HUAWEI AppGallery, which allows its users to buy tickets for the Dubai Metro, Water Bus, Tram, and others, through App and Huawei wallet.
They can also recharge the balance of their Nol digital cards directly through the application, bearing in mind that the payment process is safe within the framework of the strict and integrated protection and protection system for Huawei store applications, and the protection system that meets the highest international standards to ensure the privacy of consumers.
